For the energetic kids
Let them run around with a Footy 4 Fun session at Arnolds Creek Recreation Reserve. 7 to 12 year old players can test their skills at playing junior Aussie Rules. Also, if they’re really into their football, they can meet and greet reigning Premiership player Christian Petracca from the Melbourne Demons too.

When you need a spot of retail therapy
The Eynesbury Market is a fantastic summer activity. Held on December 19, January 23 and February 2, this sunmer market offers the expected fresh produce, freshly baked goods, artisan crafts and hot food. Your doggy friends are welcome too!

Fun for the whole family
The circus has come to town. Until mid-December you can catch the thrills of Circus Royale under their eye-catching blue and yellow big top tent. Spend an afternoon or evening watching daredevils, high-wire acts, clowns, jugglers and acrobats. Children up to 18 can also get involved in Melton South’s Dream Big Circus Club. Professional trainers will teach stilt walking, juggling, hula hooping, plate turning, staff spinning, poi, clowning and even human pyramids. And best of all, it’s free!

When you’re craving fresh air
Join in on the Toolern Creek Park Run one sunny Saturday. This weekly volunteer-run event allows you to meet other locals, get in some exercise and enjoy a coffee afterwards. Walkers and joggers are also encouraged to come along. Alternatively, stretch your legs on a guided You Yangs Park Walk through calming bushland with natural views.

When the mood to treat yourself strikes
Gather your friends for a Summer High Tea at a 172-year-old Scottish-style castle. Overnewton Castle will serve up pretty pastries, delectable scones with jam and cream, dainty sandwiches and petit fours with all the Twinning’s tea and Vittoria coffee you can handle.

When you just want to have fun in the sun
The Eynesbury Summer Festival is happening all summer long at the historic homestead. The packed schedule includes food trucks, a beer garden, various markets, live music, a beach where you can play volleyball or badminton plus the Oz Open and cricket on the big screen.
